Christmas comes but once a year. The happiest of days is here with us. It’s time to be with our families and I can’t wait to meet my family and especially my father. I read somewhere that behind every independent lady is an open minded father who trusted her, not the society. Any independent lady who was privileged to have had an open minded father, I believe, will agree with it. I am a daddy’s girl and this is entirely true based on my experience. Besides being raised in a community where women have close to no say compared to men ,I have been able to express myself in many situations where under normal circumstance, I should have just accepted things as stated. I decided a long time ago that I will not allow myself to live my life based on people’s way of thinking but rather on the scripture and my intellectual mind.
God created you. He designed you to succeed and when He was finished (trust me you were complete by the time you were born), He did put an image to it. The problem comes in when the world gives you a definition of success. You are taken to school and the system somehow has the right to determine who is clever and who is stupid. When it favors you, it’s great but when it works against you, you start feeding your mind with thoughts of failure. Many creative minds have been killed by the world’s definition of success. Believe me or not, there is something inside you, specifically for you and all you need do is identify what is it you can do better than anybody. This is why most of us are just surviving and not impacting the world.
Borrowing Myles Monroe’s teaching, ‘You should judge no person. Purpose is built into the product. You were not born to find your purpose but you were born with your purpose that is why your dreams are so big that you are afraid of your purpose because your culture has told you who you should be. They have no idea who you are. No one knows the product like the manufacturer. Don’t get your measure from other products. Everyone comes to earth but you decide how much of you is manifested. You have accepted what they say about you. If you really knew who you are, you will be afraid to meet you.’
